i'm KC!
Hi! My name is KC Myers and I was born and raised right here in good old Ohio. I’m a wife to my wonderful husband and mom to two beautiful boys and two fur babies. I am a lover of all animals. Our family has a horse farm, and my Cavapoo named Jersey has her own Instagram account… need I say more?! I played soccer at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) and love being active and playing outside with my boys. We also love boating and traveling as a family.

Over a decade ago, I started doing lifestyle photography as a creative outlet. I have always loved taking photos and what started as a passion project turned into a successful small business.
​
A year ago, I started photographing and documenting design projects I was working on and décor styling I use in my own home and posting them on social media. It was fun to share my ideas with others for things like porch décor, table settings, fresh ideas for holiday decorating, and furnishings for key rooms \ living and dining rooms. I also enjoyed sharing projects completed in my own home like our office makeover and master bathroom renovation by posting design boards I used for inspiration, photos and videos of the progress during the project, and of course the “before and after” during the big reveal.

This began as a fun project documenting the evolution of my own home into my dream home and allowed me to combine my passions for photography and home design. Now, I hope to help others bring their ideas to life to create a dream home of their own. I am so glad you joined me on this journey. Let’s get started!

Salt – noun; a seasoning used to flavor or preserve
When I think of salt, I think of adding a bit of flavor to something bland. Like taking a builder grade bathroom and turning it into a peaceful oasis. Or taking a large empty family room and adding character and coziness with the perfect sofa, chairs, artwork, and accent pieces.
Home – noun; a residence, house, place of origin, or habitat
When I think of home, I think of the place where you feel comfortable, safe, and at peace. A house is a building you live in, but a home is where your heart is. Perhaps it is where you are raising your family, where you are pursuing your goals and dreams, or a quiet place to lounge and relax after a long day. Your home should be a reflection of your style and match your vibe.
Thus, SALT + HOME. Adding a dash of flavor and bit of style to your house to make it feel like home.
I describe my personal style as a mixture of Modern Farmhouse and Organic Traditional. I love a neutral palette. My favorite paint colors are Repose Gray (Sherwin Williams) and White Dove White (Benjamin Moore). A favorite design hack of mine is displaying cutting boards as décor in the kitchen. I enjoy using a mixture of candles and vintage pieces as accents to make a large room feel cozier or in table centerpieces.
